MALTURK 2023 – A Teaser
Imagine that your company is a film producer. When you are planning to do a good movie, you would get excited and do a teaser promo. It’s not a trailer as yet; that only comes when you have finished all the shooting and editing. But for now, you are just hinting to the public and potential viewers as to what to expect.
We at CSQ are currently at that stage, only that we are planning an event.
Late last year, we hosted Malaysia – Kazakhstan Entrepreneur Network 2022 (MKEN 2022). As the name itself suggests, it was a gathering of Malaysian and Kazakhstan businessmen for networking, product sourcing, investment and funding opportunities, and business matching.
We managed to bring almost Thirty (30) successful companies, businesses as well as high net-worth individuals, and important authorities within the Kazakhstan business fraternity to meet their Malaysian counterparts. They came all the way to Kuala Lumpur on a busy fortnight’s trip, which in itself is a manifestation of how serious and confident they are.
It was a very successful event, which reached its summit whereby a platform of various business matching and signing of MOUs were done. It ended on another equally high but more leisurely note when the delegates were treated to a taste of our Malaysian hospitality.
We are still very excited about the last event with Kazakhstan, and this year we intend to turn our focus on Turkiye.
Coincidently, our new Tenth Prime Minister (PMX) has always had a soft spot for Turkiye.
What we plan is the same thing that we had with Kazakhstan, only bigger. Hence it will be much more than simply just another Malaysia – Turkiye Entrepreneur Network 2023 (MTEN 2023). We wish to organize a bigger event that incorporates MTEN 2023.
We have decided to name this event the MALTURK FEST 2023.
Briefly, the MALTURK FEST 2023 will have:-
1. Malaysian – Turkiye Entrepreneur Network 2023 (MTEN 2023)
As already mentioned above, this is the flagship program in which we will bring in companies, businesses, investors et cetera to connect and match them with their equivalent counterparts by organizing a business-to-business matching program; and
2. Turkiye Day (TD 2023)
This is the most highlighted program and we will organize a Two (2) days exhibition for both Malaysian and Turkish entrepreneurs to showcase their various products and services and at the same time promote Malaysian and Turkish food and culture.
Among the many obvious and various objectives of this event includes having a mutual in-depth understanding of the business climates of both countries, opening up doors for more cross-border bilateral trade, and developing a long-term mutually beneficial business relationship between the two nations.
Also, this event will hopefully be the stepping stone towards a meaningful future in business, leisure, and blended tourism (such as hospital tourism) and introduce arts, culture, and cuisine between both Malaysia and Turkiye. It is no secret that so many Malaysians are passionately watching Turkish Netflix series such as the Ertugrul. And Istanbul is one of the favorite travel destinations for Malaysians. It’s high time for us to make it mutual; whether in business, trade, or travel.
Generally, the event itself will comprise the opening ceremony, seminars, B2B meetings, trade visits, power networking business luncheons, and dinners and culminating in the leisurely retreat to our many tourism destinations of choice.
Historically and traditionally, Malaysians and Turkish people have always been intrigued by each other. For example, in the Malaysian state of Johore, some foods and cuisines are known to originate as Turkish dishes. And it is certainly not uncommon to hear about mixed marriages between Malaysian and Turkish couples. So much so that they maintain a very active Facebook Page called “Malaysia – Turkiye United”. As a fact, one of our male Malaysian staff is also happily married to a pretty Turkish lady.
We are targeting to hold this event sometime in the middle of the year. In the meantime, why not head off to Kinokuniya (or the bookstore nearest to you) and grab a Turkish dictionary and learn some basic Turkish phrases? The Turkish people are known to have a string of very comprehensive and polite phrases to fit any situation.
These are but some of the facts that make us very excited to organize and host this event. Who knows what else to expect? PMX to attend? Watch this space!
