Our Senior Partner, Mr Madzlan, has more than 25 years of experience and is renown internationally as a leading Islamic finance lawyer.
Prior to joining the Firm, he was a partner and head of the Islamic financial services practice in one of the largest firms in Malaysia for almost 10 years; and he had a six years stint at the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB) as a senior project manager. Since 2021 he serves as a member of the board of directors of Prudential BSN Takaful Berhad. He has also served the Malaysian Foundation for Islamic Economic Development (YaPEIM) in several capacities, including member of the board of trustees and member of board committees.
Mr Madzlan was a lead consultant in projects to develop legal and regulatory framework for Islamic banking in several countries including Afghanistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan; and to develop halal meat park in Kyrgyzstan.
Our other partners Mr Redza and Mr Shafie each has more than a decade of experiences. Mr Redza with his broad range of litigation and conveyancing experiences including inheritance matters; leads and oversees our Northern Region offices in Kedah and Penang.
Meanwhile, Mr Shafie with his full range of experiences in various types of property transactions leads our real estate practice.

In addition, through our CSQlaw Kazakhstan Branch led by CEO Mr Diyas Moldabayev and CSQ International Consulting Sdn Bhd led by CEO Mr Suji Nordin, CSQLaw is able to facilitate multilateral trades and commerce between Malaysia/Southeast Asia region and Kazakhstan/Central Asia region by providing business matching and market access services.
