We have been discussing random topics. Some semi-legal, some a wee bit political, some local, regional, and global. We intended this blog to be a casual, armchair leisurely reading for our non-legal clientele.
So, who are we actually?
As mentioned earlier, we are best described as an artisan, bespoke, boutique, a customized law firm located in the less crowded area of downtown Kuala Lumpur. As a legal firm, we do offer the services that any other normal legal firm offers. That is understood and goes without saying. We firmly believe in dishing out the best expertise but remain discreet and old school when it comes to marketing, as the legal profession is a sacred profession that is strictly bound by deeply embedded traditions.
It is the other services that we are excited to share with you.
For a start, we have a branch office located in Nur-Sultan (previously Astana), which is the capital of Kazakhstan. From there, we are able to offer Islamic Financial Services as well as other Muslim-related products (like the Halal Market) to other post-Russian bloc like Kyrgyzstan and others.
We also collaborate and corroborate; either in the form of subsidiaries, associate companies, partnerships, and joint ventures; with other business entities so that we are able to offer value-added services to our clients.

1. CSQ Corporate Services Sdn. Bhd.
This is our corporate company secretarial arm. We aspire to give a one-stop solution center for businesses. We aim to give a wide range of services to help especially Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) grow and succeed. With a focus on quality and affordability, CSQ Corporate Services is committed to helping SMEs navigate the complex world of business to reach their maximum potential.
We provide corporate secretarial services typically offered by other management companies but are more focused on the needs and financial ability of the SMEs. We help them comply with legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements at an affordable fee.
On top of that, we also offer our clients a wider range of services related to licensing (registration with MOF, MOTAC, CIDB. LOCAL LICENSE, MLM et cetera) that can help businesses comply as well as eligible to apply for projects and grants.
Basically, in general, we help you to prepare, maintain and sustain your company from A to Z.
2. Laughing Tree Sdn. Bhd.
This company offers you the services necessary to further enhance your company. We seek to provide the possibility to get funds, investors, clients, and the opportunity to further expand the company either locally, regionally, or even globally.
If you are doing business, no matter how small, then you are our potential client. We have helped small-time hawkers grow their businesses into becoming successful restaurants. We have helped small-time entrepreneurs whose daily sales average RM300 to become RM6K. Those are a few examples of what we could do for your business.
We achieve this by constantly organizing seminars and talks to teach and impart invaluable knowledge from our team members and speakers. We also provide the opportunity to introduce and matchmake your business to potential customers, partners and investors.
3. MASTA
This is another of our latest collaborations. From here we provide a quick and easy comprehensive service for you to keep track of all your company’s affairs. You no longer need to hire an expensive team of lawyers, accountants et cetera. We have spent quite a considerable sum to build an application (apps) that can help you keep track of and maintain all your companies. All from the comfort of your sofa at home.
It is our desire that once the software has been fully developed, it will make a difference in how you deal with all your group of companies. You can have a business lunch with a potential customer, partner, or investor and you can show him at a glance how well your companies are doing, and what are the prospects of a joint venture. Just an example.
We use the synergized resources of the above companies to further enhance the services that we can offer. For example, last year we organized a business networking session, with the collaboration of government agencies like MITI, to do a business networking session between Malaysia and Kazakhstan. We managed to rope in about forty companies from Kazakhstan to meet their Malaysian counterparts. It was a huge success, and we believe many companies benefited from the event.
This year, we intend to replicate the same event, this time with Turkiye. Given our ubiquitous good two-way intergovernmental relations between Malaysia and Turkiye, we are optimistic that this event will be another success.
